Upon my return for our 55th Lufkin High School reunion I wrote this ditty. (TS Eliot beware.) If a 1962 LHS graduate will write the music, the LHS choir will sing it and we can give all the proceeds to the LHS Scholarship Fund. Well…maybe not all.
I’ve lost my hair
No breath to spare
Losing my mind
No teeth to grind
My joints have wore
My feet are sore
My chin has tripled
My legs are crippled
If I think of you
My troubles are few
You make life new
When I’m with you
