Don’t Look

My friend Chad decided to tryout some new skis at Telluride Sales during their Demo Day. All the newest equipment–skis, snowboards, ski poles–were available for skiers to use for the day.

As  Chad was about to enter Telluride Sales he overheard two teenagers. One boy suggested to the other that they tryout the new snowboards. His friend replied, “Why would I look at something that would make me unhappy with what I already have?”

Chastened, Chad turned from the door and headed for the ski lift.

For everything in the world–the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does–comes not from the father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
                                                                                                                            I John 2:16-17
