A friend of mine received a message from a friend of hers. My friend forwarded the enchanting little poem to me. I made a few changes. Here is my version:

And the people stayed home. They read books, and listened; and rested, and took care of their bodies.

And the people were still… they listened profoundly and with depth. Some prayed; some danced. Some met their shadows and found their shadows were helpful friends to show them the way to a better life. The people changed, and became more thoughtful and more loving.

And the people surrendered their selfish and heartless ways for an abundant life overflowing with love, joy, and peace. And the people healed.

And the world healed, as they–the people–had been healed.
